About Neville.

Married to Lisa, I have two Step Daughters and a 2 year old Daughter and I am proud to be bringing them up in the Community I have called home for over 40 years. Originally from Whitehill, I attended Blackmoor School (now St.Matthews) Mill Chase Community School followed by Alton College to study my A-levels before studying at Manchester Metropolitan University a few years later.

My career is as an HR Business Partner within the Retail Industry, a sector I have been employed in for over 25 years. I have had the privilege and opportunity working with some of the UK’s Leading Retailers including an 8 Month Secondment to a Company in Los Angeles.

Having purchased property in Lindford in 2007, I quickly grew to get more involved in the Community and joined the Parish Council which is where my passion for politics started. I could see very early on that decisions that affected mine and the community interests were taken at East Hampshire District Council and Hampshire County Council which is originally why I decided to take further action on becoming a District Councillor.

On my second attempt I was elected to represent Lindford as the District Councillor in 2019 as an Independent. Settling into life as an Independent District Councillor was a lonely place to be when everyone else was against you battling for their own areas to be represented, so it was a natural choice in 2020 to join the Liberal Democrat Group within East Hampshire giving the group 8 District Councillors. We had been working on a number of projects together including Climate Change and our values aligned. Sharing the same vision, I was delighted to be welcomed into the group. The knowledge and resources from the Leader and Lib Dem Councillors has benefitted residents in Lindford enormously.

In 2021, I was selected as the County Council Candidate to represent my home division of Whitehill, Bordon and Lindford for the Liberal Democrat’s. Unfortunately it was not meant to be and I finished third out of the six candidates suffering from a lot of personal attacks towards my family and I via social media platforms throughout the campaign.

This area has been my home since birth, generations of our family have called it home and whilst it has seen many changes over the years (some good, some bad) it will always be where Lisa and I choose to live. The community has given us some wonderful opportunities and we hope our children are afforded the same upbringing.
